Abstract
Preliminary of data collection through "The Operational Study on Lifestyle Health Promotion on Controlling Risk factors of Major Non Communicable Disease by Community Integrated in Depok" showed that NCD prevalence was commonly high. To control NCD in Depok city an intervention program was developed, starting in August 2001 until March 2002 (8 months). Implementation of the intervention program was done by local government through motivation via advocacy, multi-sector approach; promotion of community behavior (individual, family, NGO/private/market) in health especially on major NCDs. Risk factors controlling NCD in Depok was done by health promotion and prevention efforts.
