dc.descriptionDengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease caused by virus through Aedes aegypti mosquitoes as the vector. The disease is spreading across the world and endanger and threaten human life. Sugar apple leaf (Annona squamosa) is one of plants-derived larvicides. The purpose of this research is to measure effectiveness of sugar apple leaf (Annona squamosa) as mosquito larvicides to Aedes aegypti. This study was using experimental design and method of sampling that used on this study was simple random sampling. The research was conducted by providing sugar apple leaf extract in various concentrations to the media containing 26 larvae. The larvae mortality was counted after 24 hours. The variation of concentrations used were 6%, 7%, 8%, 9%, 10%, and aquades as a control. Statistics analysis that used on this research was One Way Anova. The result showed that the sugar apple leaf extract has larvacidal effectiveness for larvae of Aedes aegypti. The concentration for half of mortality (LC50) was 6,6% and the extract concentration for 90% population mortality was 93% after 24 hours treatment.
