Abstract
Coronary artery disease (CAD) caused of the highest death in Indonesia that was caused by atherosclerosis, as the obesity was occurred by modifiable risk factor, which it will increase the fasting blood sugar level, so it can change of blood pressure and pulse pressure. This research wants to find the relationship of the fasting blood sugar level to pulse pressure in CAD patient in Department of Cardiology of Indonesia Army Central Hospital during January 2015 – April 2015. The research designed use not pair with comparative analytic crosssectional, that it use secondary data from the medical record, which the sampling technique takes consecutive sampling. Approximately 61 samples, that the mean fasting blood sugar level is 97,82 ± 15,083 mg/dL, median 94 mg/dL, and the highest value is 89 mg/dL. Approximately 61 samples, that the mean pulse pressure is 52,1 ± 15,276 mmHg, median 50 mmHg, and the highest value is 50 mmHg. The unpaired T-test was found p < 0,05. The result of this research there is a relationship between the fasting blood sugar levels to pulse pressure.
