Abstract
Pneumonia is one of the health problem in the world and the largest contributor to the cause of death in children under five years old. Based on the results of health research (Riskesdas) in 2007, Pneumonia was the second leading cause of death in children after diarrhea which reached 15,5% among all causes of death in children under five years old. This research is aimed to know the relationship between knowledge, attitude, and behavior of toddler’s mother about pneumonia with the incidence of pneumonia in toddler. This research is analytic survey with cross-sectional research design and sampling by consecutive sampling technique. This research was conducted at Cilandak Subdistrict Public Health Center South Jakarta Administration City April-June 2013 period. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and medical records. Sample was appropriate with inclusion and exclusion criteria in the research amounted to 151 toddler’s mother. Data obtained were analyzed with Chi Square test with α value is 5%. Chi Square test results show p-value for knowledge (p= 0.000), attitude (p= 0.013), and behavior (p= 0.000). There is a relationship between knowledge, attitude, and behavior of toddler’s mother about pneumonia with the incidence of pneumonia in toddler.
