dc.descriptionLung tuberculosis (TB) is one of the major diseases in Indonesia. The disease risks 10 times bigger to people who suffers from immune deficiency, as likely as patients with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). It underlies the high number of TB-HIV co-infection cases, which caused by some kind of factors. The objective of the research is to find the relation of the factors, such as gender, age, educational status, occupation, marital status, CD4+ cell count and the risk factor of HIV at RSUD Bekasi, January-Desember 2015. This research is an analytic with cross sectional study design. The sampling method uses simple random sampling to acquire of 73 respondents. The data will be taken from medical record and analyzed in accordance in univariate, bivariate using Chi Square test and multivariate using logistic regression test. The result of this study implicates that there is a relation between the risk of HIV (p= 0,046) and TB-HIV co-infection cases, whereas gender, age, occupation, educational status, marital status, and CD4+ cell count have not related to TB-HIV coinfection cases. The factors that most affect the prevalence of co-infection of TB-HIV is the status of education (OR = 3.609). It can be concluded there is a significant relationship between factors with the incidence of the risks of HIV co-infection of TB-HIV in HIV patients and the factors that most are educational status. Suggested entire HIV patients and personnel in hospitals can prevent the incidence of TB in HIV patients by improving the quality of life of HIV patients.
