Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship of age and parity of mothers with LBW in the General Hospital Datoe Binangkang Kotamobagu. This research is an analytical survey with retrospective approach. The total population of 278 sampled respondents who fulfilled the inclusion criteria consisted of 2 groups: the 47 respondents who gave birth to low birth weight and 47 respondents who gave birth to non LBW. The result of chi - square test showed there was correlation between age of mothers with LBW and there is no relationship between parity with the incidence of LBW
