Abstract

Stroke were placed the third rank cause of death in Indonesia. After the first attack, recurrent stroke can make the worst condition. Recurrent stroke happen in patient which lack of self-control and lack of awareness . Family have important role in individual health in family. Any prevention of recurrent stroke can do trough family health task. This research aiming to know the description of family health task implementation of recurrent stroke prevention at neurological clinic of RSUD Sleman. This is a decriptive research with a survey research design. There were 218 family as population in this research. This research used consecutive sampling technique. Questionnare is used in this research as instrument. The result showed that families abilities to identified recurrent stroke problem are classified as good and severe (45,45%), have good decision making ( (63,64%), caring for a family with stroke were classified as good (80%), environmental modification are classified as good (53,36%), and using health facilities are classified as good (58,18%). Conclusion of this research is family health task implementation of recurrent stroke prevention an neurological clinic of RSUD Sleman were good.
