Abstract

The age of toddler is called the golden period, which takes place briefly and is more open to learning and guidance. One of the development of children after toddler is fine motor. In its development, toddler age is influenced by family environment factor that is mother which is the first environment for child growth process. This study aims to find out the Role of Mother in Smooth Motorcycle Training in Toddler Children. The type of research used is descriptive with survey design. The population in this study were all mothers in Unit of early childhood education a kind of Padi Hamlet Manukan Sendangsari Pajangan Bantul who have toddler age children, amounting to 32 people with total sampling technique. Research location in Unit of early childhood education a kind of Padi Hamlet Manukan Sendangsari Pajangan Bantul. Using questionnaire instruments. Result of research of mother role as caregiver, in good category of 37,5%, mother role as educator, housekeeper, family protector each in good category with amount 68,8%, mother role as additional income earner in good category that is 43.7% and the role of mothers as members of certain social groups in the good category as much as 71.8%. The conclusion of the researcher that the Role of Mother in Smooth Motorcycle Training at Toddler Children in of early childhood education a kind of Padi Hamlet Manukan Sendangsari Pajangan Bantul Yogyakarta is mostly in good category. But not all roles are directly related in fine motor training.
