      Abstract
      Signal To Noise Ratio (SNR) is the ratio between the magnitude of the amplitude of the signal amplitude noise it effects the quality of the MRI image. In order to get a better image quality, the coil designed according to examination and organ examined. The purpose of this study was comparison value of the Signal To Noise Ratio (SNR) and to know the value Signal To Noise Ratio (SNR) is higher on MRI examination of ankle joint using Quad Knee Coil and Flex/Multipurpose Coil.The research is a quantitative research by calculating the SNR value generated from knee quad coil and flex / multipurpose coil. The measurement results be in the form of numerical data in ratio scale. Then proceed with Paired T-Test to see any difference in value comparison Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) at examination MRI of ankle joint between the use of Quad Knee Coil and Flex / Multipurpose Coil. Then to show a higher SNR value between quad knee coil and flex / multipurpose coil using the result of calculation average value SNR.From the quantitative analysis seen the differences of comparison value Signal To Noise Ratio (SNR) MRI Ankle Joint using Quad Knee Coil and Flex / Multipurpose Coil which has the p value / sig-value for all of 0.002, and statistical result for each anatomic which have talocalcaneal interoseous ligament p value 0.026, talocrural joint p value 0.017, subtalar joint p value 0.001, calcaneus p value 0.002, tibia p value 0.003, talus p value 0.006, and achilles tendon p value 0.012, then the result of SNR statistical test has the p value
