Abstract
ABSTRACTProton Density Fat Suppresion is a good sequence to describe anatomical image with fat suppresion technique on the examination MRI genu. There are several methods of fat suppression one of them by applying the frequency selective inversion pulse. The purpose of this research is to know the difference information of anatomical image on the examination of MRI genu sagittal slice proton density sequences fat suppression between SPIR and SPAIR method, and to know clearer method of fat suppression in revealing the image information of MRI genu sagital slice.The type of this research is quantitative research with experimental approach. The study was conducted at General Hospital Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang. The research took from of the 28 images of MRI genu sagital slice fat suppression from 7 volunteers with two variations of fat suppression method between SPIR and SPAIR. Assessment the image information of anatomy was done by two respondents. The analysis was performed by different test of Wilcoxon sign rank test.The results showed that there was a difference the image information of anatomy on MRI genu sagital slice proton density sequence fat suppression between SPIR and SPAIR method with mean value of significance p value
