Abstract

One of the government's efforts for reducing Maternal Mortality Rate is Maternal Class. By following the class of expectant mothers is expected to increase knowledge, change the behavior of mothers to be able to understand health from pregnancy to his childbirth. The purpose of this research is to know the relationship between knowledge level and mother motivation in participation of pregnant mother class in Health Center (Puskesmas) Klego Pekalongan 2017.In this research used descriptive correlative with cross sectional approach. The population of this study is the third trimester pregnant women with 36 weeks of gestation with a sample of 49 people taken with total sampling. Data collection using questionnaire. Data analysis used is univariate analysis with frequency distribution and bivariate analysis by using chisquare test.The result of univariate analysis showed that there were 28,6% of pregnant women's knowledge, maternal motivation in 42,9% pregnant woman class in medium category, participation in pregnant mother's class did not participate 40.8%.
