      GAMBARAN JUMLAH EOSINOFIL PADA ANAK YANG TERINFEKSI CACING DI YAYASAN PANTI ASUHAN FATIMATUZZAHRO

      Abstract
      ABSTRACTBackground: Worm infestation is one of the most common diseases spread and affects people around the world. The low quality of sanitation is the cause. In Indonesia there are some areas with the highest prevalence of STH, namely Papua and Sumatra ranging from 50-80%. Worm infestation can have an impact on nutrition and physical growth, and intellectual deterioration in children. These worms are often associated with an increase in the number of eosinophils in the blood that are also affected by allergies. Based on observations at the Fatimatuzzahro Orphanage Foundation the majority are still children with poor sanitation conditions.Target of research: To describe the calculation of the count of eosiophils in the infected child of the worm at the Fatimatuzzahro Orphanage Foundation.Research Methods: The type of this research is descriptive with cross sectional approach, then the data obtained is processed and presented in tabular and percentage form.Results: From 26 respondents found 6 children infected with worms caused by worms Ascaris Lumbricoides, then checking the number of eoisnofil obtained 4 (66,7%) respondents showed eosinophilia results, 2 (33,3%) respondents showed normal eosinophil results And all respondents had no history of allergies.Conclusion: The result of count of eosinophil in infected child of worm at Fatimatuzzahro Orphanage Foundation varies that is 4 (66,7%) respondent have eosinophilia and 2 (33,3%) normal respondent.
