Abstract
Opportunities to give birth to healthy and safe babies are possible when the health condition of the mother is good. There are still many pregnant women who suffer from malnutrition, mainly KEK. KEK have a risk of having low birth weight (LBW) and maternal mortality due to bleeding (MOH, 1995). The purpose of this study To determine the description of the characteristics of factors that affect chronic energy incidence (KEK) in pregnant women in Siwalan Puskesmas area of Pekalongan Regency.This research is a survey research, is descriptive with Cross Sectional approach. The population in this research is all pregnant women of KEK at Siwalan Public Health Center of Pekalongan Regency up to February 2017 as many as 53 people.The result of the research shows that most of family food availability is less secure, Education of pregnant mother of Chronic Energy (KEK) in Siwalan Regency Public Health Region of Pekalongan Regency is at most elementary education (SD-SMP), Most of employment is laborer, Most knowledge is good, Describing most socioeconomic factor is less or have less income from UMK Regency of Pekalongan, Age of pregnant mother at most is age not at risk, Age of pregnancy at most is trimester III, Birth distance at most is good, Parity at most is primipara and Distance service The health of many is closeHealth workers are expected to actively provide understanding about the nutritional needs of pregnant women. Health workers work together with posyandu cadres to coordinate pregnant women to gather, so that extension activities to pregnant women can run effectively.
