ABSTRACTThe content of vitamin C and fiber contained in the soursop fruit and fruit fruit can control the pH and normal salivary viscosity, because it can meet the nutritional needs in the oral cavity. Vitamin C and high fibrous, so the viscosity of saliva becomes lower and saliva pH can be controlled not too acid or not too alkaline. hewing foods that contain lots of water and pH fibers in the mouth can be controlled which also affects the salivary pH. The purpose of this study is to compare the comparison between chewing soursop fruit and star fruit to salivary pH changes in grade 4 students and V SD Islam Saws.The type of this research is quantitative descriptive with Quasy Experiment Method or quasi experiment and pre test design and post test design. The population of this study are the students of grade IV and V SD Islam Chainsaw with the number of 42 students. Sampling by way of Total Sampling is taking as a whole as 42 people divided into 2 groups of 21 people chew fruit soursop and 21 people chew star fruit. Data analysis used is descriptive quantitative.Saliva pH after chewing soursop fruit pH saliva tend towards neutral, while after chewing star fruit pH saliva tend to base. Comparison of salivary pH changes between chewing soursop fruit and star fruit 11: 8. Chewing soursop fruit is more effective than star fruit to salivary pH change. It is expected that students chew fruit soursop and fruit star fruit because it can raise saliva pH.
