ABSTRACTAzani Rahman1) Darmini, S.SI, M.Kes2) M. Irwan Katili, S.Pd, M.Kes3)Has done a study on vertebrae cervical MRI at Orthopedic Hospital Prof. Dr. S. Soeharso Surakarta by using C-Spine coil and Cervico Thoraco Lumbal coil (CTL). This study aims to determine the difference of anatomical image information on the image of the use of two types of coils for MRI vertebrae cervical examination.The study was conducted at Prof. Orthopedic Hospital. Dr. Soeharso Surakarta by creating an image of 8 patients with variations of C-Spine coil and CTL coil using fast-spin echo weighting sequence T2 sagittal sectional on vertical cervical vertebrae using MRI 1.5 Tesla with other parameters such as TR, TE, FOV, Flip angle, slice thickness, NEX, matrix and bandwidth was fixed. From the sixteenth image the judgment is given by the respondent to know the anatomical image information of the cervical vertebrae of the image on each coil. Data analysis was performed by wolcoxon test to determine the difference of anatomical image information with different use of RF coil on MV vertebrae cervical examination.Based on respondents' assessment on the image of MRI vertebrae cervical image using C-Spine coil displays anatomical information of intervertebral disc organ, corpus vertebrae, spinal cord, cerebro spinal fluid and ligamentum flavum on sharper sagittal pieces than using CTL coil. From the statistical test obtained p value between the use of C-Spine coil and CTL coil is 0.000. So H0 rejected means there is a significant difference to the anatomical image information on the organ discs intervertebralis, corpus vertebrae, spinal cord, cerebro spinal fluid, and ligamentum flavum.
