Abstract

ABSTRACTExamination of vertebra cervical sagittal T2 weighed on MRI 0.3T is often ghosting artifacts that interfere with image results, so that the use of frequency encoding direction is used. On T2 weighted sagittal can use superior inferior or superior anterior superior frequency encoding. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of ghosting MRI artifacts cervical vertebra sagittal with the use of frequency encoding direction between superior inferior and anterior posterior as well as to know ghosting artifacts at least between the two frequency encoding.The type of this research is quantitative research with experimental approach. Data was collected at radiology Installation of Islamic Hospital of Surakarta using questionnaire to two respondents. Data analysis was performed by statistic test using SPPS 22 software, Wilcoxon test to find out the difference level of ghosting artifact of frequency encoding direction between superior inferior and anterior posterior, mean rank value from Wilcoxon test to find out ghosting artifacts least.From the statistical test results it is known that there is difference ghosting MRI artifacts cervical vertebra sagittal with the use of frequency encoding direction between superior inferior and anterior posterior with p-value 0,001 (p
