Abstract

The caries trampan is a caries that occurs very quickly and concerning some teeth and often cause pain so the child is difficult to eat and fussy. Tramp caries can be caused by various factors one of which is the level of education and behavior. In children the role of parents is very important to underlie the formation of behaviors that support the dental health of children. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship from the level of knowledge and guidance from parents to cases of rampan caries.The type of this research is descriptive analytic research with Cross Sectional research design. The sample in this research is 30 students of this tk taken by Total Sampling. Data retrieval is done by examination of the child and the questionnaire by the parent of the child. Data analysis using spearman test.Statistical test results obtained knowledge level (p value = 0,605) guidance (p value = 0,797). This shows that there is no relationship between the level of knowledge and guidance with the occurrence of caries rampan, but the results show no relationship between the level of knowledge and parental guidance with rampan caries in children, but the role of parents, especially a mother is very important in underlying the formation of supportive behavior Child's dental hygiene, so that the child's dental health can be maintained properly. So in this study suggested that parents to add insight about rampan caries.
