dc.descriptionBrain cancer is an expansive lesion forming a mass with in intra cranial. one among the handlings of brain cancer is with radiotherapy, using radiation aims to kill cancer cells as much as attainable through the activity of measured radiation dose on the targeted tumor / target volume and minimize the consequences of radiation on healthy tissue round the tumor. The aim of this research is to understand the treatment of radiation, the reason for the use of IMRT technique and radiation analysis on brain cancer in radiotherapy Installation of Dr. Kariadi General Hospital SemarangThis type of research is qualitative with case study approach. the data was collected in October-December 2017 at radiotherapy Installation of Dr. Kariadi General Hospital Semarang by observation methodology, interview with Radiation Oncologist Specialist, Medical Physiciast and Radiographer. the data obtained from the study were analyzed by an interactive model, creating the interview transcripts subsequently reduced and processed within the type of open coding, given within the type of quotations then are often drawn conclusions.The results of this study demonstrate that the management of brain cancer radiation utilizing IMRT procedure in radiotherapy installation of Dr. Kariadi General Hospital Semarang includes patient examination, CT Scan Simulator, contouring, planning medical physics, verification and radiation treatments. IMRT techniques are used pupose to curratif radiation, homogenity of dose and the location of the target volume is close to the Organ at Risk. Field radiation evaluation was performed before first and third irradiation, patient evaluation after five times of radiation and CT Scan evaluation after 23rd radiation
