Abstract

ABSRTACTBackground: Field irradiation verification is a process to ensure that the radiation field is in accordance with the planned calculation. The use of IMRT technique on radiotherapy that requires high accuracy in the implementation of radiation so that in need of verification efforts to be able to provide satisfactory results in the handling of cancer, This research about the procedure of Field irradiation Verification of IMRT technique on Breast Cancer Case at the Department of Radiotherapy Dr Cipto Mangunkusumo which aims to know how the procedure and the results of the shift in the field radiation verification process.Methods: This research was descriptive study with retrospective data. The data was collected in December 2017 - January 2018 at Radiotherapy Department of Dr Cipto Mangunkusumo.jakarta with observation method, interview with radioretapis and resident doctor oncology of radiation. Data obtained from the study were analyzed by interactive model, that is by data reduction, data presentation and conclusionResult: Results of this study indicate that the radiation field verification procedure performed verification in the simulator room for center point shift and verification of radiation room in fractions 1, 2, 3, 6,11,16 and 21 radiation. obtained the average shift in 5 patient samples that is on the vertical axis 0.1 cm toward the posterior of the center point, on the longitudinal axis of -0.009cm superior to the center point and on the lateral axis of -0.014cm to the left of the center point.Conclusion: From this study it can be concluded that the result of the verification field radiation of breast case is smaller than the tolerance verification value, but the role verification can make the patient got more radiation dose.
