Abstract

One of the problems that occur in the intranatal mother is the presence of labor pain that is physiological, but the labor pain that is during childbirth is very painful for mother. Therefore there must be action to reduce the pain. Actions that can be done to overcome the pain of labor one is non-pharmacological therapy with counter pressure technique. The purpose of this study was to provide management of intranatal nursing care with focus of study to overcome the pain of labor of first stage by applying couter pressure technique. The research method used is descriptive with case study, the instrument used is the observation sheet, the number of respondents on the scientific paper is two intranatal mothers in the phase of stage I in the RSUD Ambarawa Hospital. The results of nursing care on Ny. N and Ny. S for 1x3 hour got results on Ny. N labor pain when I was partially resolved, while in Ny. S labor pain is partially resolved. Suggestions for nurses are expected to provide in addition to providing collaborative treatment with pharmacological medical teams are expected to encourage clients to handle pain non-pharmacologically.
