Abstract

Dental and oral health problems in Indonesia, especially dental caries are mostly found in children in primary school age at age 12 with a prevalence from 2007 to 2013 of 13.7%. One of the main efforts to improve the oral health of the school community is through the UKGS program. Based on data taken from the Siso Community Health Center from 12 schools all recently conducted a phase II UKGS. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of physical and health education teachers with the implementation of the UKGS program in the elementary schools built Siso community health center.This research type is correlation study with research design using cross sectional approach. Sample is 12 teachers of physical education and health in the work area Siso community health center, sampling total sampling technique. This study uses univariate and bivariate data analysis with Sperman rank test.The statistical test shows that the level of knowledge of physical and health education teachers has a significant relationship with the implementation of the UKGS program in the elementary schools built by the Siso Community Health Center with p-value = 0,000 (p-value
