Abstract

Background:Diabetes mellitus is a disorder of decreased carbohydrate metabolism, a chronic complication of ulcers of diabetes mellitus, there are various ways to overcome the ulcer wounds of diabetes mellitus one of them wound care modern dressing hydrogel and hydrocolloidGoal : To know the effectiveness of modern wound care dresing using hydrogel and hydrocoloid in wound healing process of type II diabetes mellitus ulcers.Method: In this research, the researcher used Quasy Experiment research type with two groups pre test and post test without control group design. Researchers have compiled two groups namely the treatment group with modern dressing hydrogel and the group with treatment using dresing hydrocoloid.Results: Different test results between the two groups of 1.47 and the value of the si (2-tailed) of 0.63> 0.05, then according to the basis of decision making independent test sample t-test, it can be concluded H0 rejected and Ha accepted, differences in effectiveness of modern wound dressing treatments using hydrogel and hydrocolloid. But in hydrogel difference is more effective than hydrocolloid in wound healing process of type II diabetes mellitus ulcers.
