Tuberculosis is a contagion infections disease caused by airborne mycobacterium tuberculosis by tuberculosis patients with positive AFD. A patient with pulmonary tuberculosis is extremely risk to transmit disease to family members, if the family members and the individual do not know how to prevent it. One of aspect to consider in the prevention of pulmonary tuberculosis in a family is to maintain a healthy home environment. This study aims to provide family nursing care with a focus on prevention studies of tuberculosis transmission using health education interventions and demonstration how to prepare better home improvement. The method used in this research is descriptive method using case study approach. Subjects in this study were two families with pulmonary tuberculosis patients. The results show that there is increased knowledge on both clients and families about prevention of pulmonary tuberculosis transmission. In receiving information, the second client is more receptive to information than the first client. This is due to differences in the level of education on both clients. In addition, the two families have begun to implement better home arrangement, such as opening windows every morning and throwing sputum in the sputum pot. Suggestions in this study is that clients and families to always make efforts to prevent transmission of pulmonary TB independently.
