      Abstract
      In some conditions, MRI examination has difficulty to differentiate between fat and soft tissue. Fat is often a source of problems in MRI, because fat surrounds many anatomical structures, but is not well restricted. STIR is one of the techniques commonly used in mensuppressi fat. In addition to using STIR, to suppress fat there are other alternative techniques that can be used that is Dixon technique especially to see rotator cuff tendon. Rotator cuff is the common name of 4 different muscles and tendons that give strength and stability to the shoulder movement. This study aims to compare the quality of STIR and Dixon sequences in displaying anatomical information of MRI Shoulder Joint especially on Cuff Rotator and to know what is better between this two sequence.Types This research is quantitative research with experimental approach which aims to analyze the anatomical information of shoulder joint T2 TSE STIR and T2 TSE Dixon sequences. This research will be carried out at the RadoGogi Unit of Siloam Kebun Jeruk Hospital. Data retrieval time is from March to April 2018. Data is taken from MRI Shoulder Joint examination using TSE T2 sequence and T2 TSE Dixon. Data analysis was performed by SPSS processing using Cohen's Kappa and Wilcoxon test.The statistical results of the research using differentiation test of wilcoxon showed the difference of overall anatomical information between T2 TSE STIR sequence and T2 TSE Dixon with p value 0.000 (p
