      MANFAAT INTERVENSI YOGA TERHADAP TEKANAN DARAH, KECEMASAN DAN KUALITAS TIDUR WANITA MENOPAUSE (Studi di Kelurahan Gedawang, Banyumanik-Semarang)

      Abstract
      Background: Menopausal Women experience various changes, both physical, psychological and hormonal changes that cause menopausal symptoms. Menopausal symptoms include sleep disorders, anxiety and blood pressure. Lifestyle changes are one way to reduce menopausal symptoms, such as physical activity. Yoga is a physical activity that can stimulate a relaxation response both physically and psychologically, it reduce physical and psychological symptoms in menopausal women.Objective: To prove the influence of yoga interventions on blood pressure, anxiety and sleep quality of menopausal women.Research method: This research is a quasy experiment non-equivalent control group design. The independent variable is yoga (asana and pranayama) and the independent variables are blood pressure, anxiety and sleep quality. The samples was 22 respondents with purposive sampling method and divided into two groups, with yoga intervension with 60 minutes duration twice a week for four weeks. Hypothesis test for anxiety and sleep quality using Independent-Samples T Test and Repeated Measure Anova on blood pressure variables.Results: Yoga decreased anxiety scores by 9.91 with p= 0.025 and sleep quality scores by 10.73 with p= 0.029. Blood pressure, yoga reduces systolic by 12.09 mmHg with p= 0.018 and diastolic by 5 mmHg with p= 0.001.Conclusion: Yoga interventions twice a week with 60 minutes duration for four weeks can improve blood pressure, anxiety and sleep quality in menopausal women
