Abstract

Background: Patient safety or patient safety is one of the main issues of health care that is far more important than just service efficiency. The surgical room is a unit that provides a surgical service process that contains a lot of risks and the number of accident cases in the operating room is very high, if the patient does not pay attention to the patient, the patient's readiness, procedures, the patient will be injured, Modified Early Warning System (MEWS) is a system some parameters, which means that certain values are set for vital parameters that deviate.Objective: To apply modified early warning system (mews) to improve patient safety in postoperative patients in recovery room for central surgical installation of Pantiwilasa Citarum Hospital Semarang Research Methods: The design of this study uses a case study. Case study is part of a quantitative method that wants to explore a particular case in more depth by involving the collection of various sources of information. The sample used in this study were 4 respondents.Results: From the four respondents above it can be concluded that the same problem occurs at the beginning of the patient entering the recovery room where the temperature score and the level of consciousness becomes a problem of the four patients, the intervention must be adjusted to how high the patient score at each time is stated in the Modified Early Warning System (MEWS) tableRecommendation: patient safety in recovery room
