Abstract
ABSTRACT: Gum disease significantly affects the degree of health, growth and development process, even a child'sfuture. The high rate of dental caries and poor oral hygiene status are oral health problem often encountered in the agegroup of children. The community of primary school is one of the strategic team to be included in oral health efforts.The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of education on teachers' knowledge and action in health promotionefforts of tooth brushing behavior of elementary school students.The research design is quasi-experimental design withpre-test and post-test to determine knowledge and actions of teachers as well as to practice proper teeth brushing tostudents before and after a given educational intervention. The data analysis test used was Wilcoxon and McNemar.As a result, there are differences in teachers' knowledge and actions before and after the educational intervention onPromoting Health School Program for tooth brushing behavior in Elementary School Students. There are differenceoral health extension activities by teachers at the school, the events of the tooth brushing, activities of dental hygieneteacher training and operations of networking in oral health to students before and after the educational intervention.
