Abstract

Information technology is currently one of the technologies being developed in various fields, one of which is health. Today, the online registration system for middle outpatients has been developed in several hospitals, one of them is the Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital, Semarang. Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital Semarang has begun to implement an online registration system for outpatients since March 2017. However, with the online registration system for outpatients who, despite using technological advances, there are still obstacles behind the positive impact. The purpose of this study is to know the general description of the online registration system for outpatients, as well as the obstacles and advantages in implementing the system.This type of research is qualitative with a case study approach. The research subjects were the outpatient online registration system coordinator, IT officer and TPPRJ officer at Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital, Semarang. The data collection method used is by observation, interview, and documentation study while the data analysis used is descriptive method.The results of the study indicate that the outpatient online registration system is a website-based self-registration system, there is a special SPO regarding the receipt of patients who register with the online registration system. Obstacles to the implementation of the online registration system for outpatients are poly doctors who take care of leave or are unable to attend suddenly, patients have difficulty accessing the website for outpatient online registration systems, and patients are wrong in determining poly. In addition, there are advantages to the implementation of the system, the system created to meet the needs of hospital and the time of providing outpatient medical record documents is faster.
