Abstract
RADIOGRAPHY EXAMINATION PROCEDURE OF PELVIC IN PATIENT WITH CLINICAL FEMORAL NECK FRACTURE IN RADIOLOGY INSTALLATION OF PKU MUHAMMADIYAH GOMBONG HOSPITALSulkhi Annisatul Quthwah 1) Rini Indrati 2)ABSTRACT According to Bontrager (2018), projections used to see abnormalities in the area of the proximal femur bone, among others projections AP Unilateral Hip, Axiolateral Inferosuperior, and additional projections Unilateral Frog-leg and Modified Axiolateral, while in the Radiology Installation of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital in patient with clinical femoral neck fracture performed using pelvic AP projection. This study aims to determine the radiographic examination procedureof pelvic in patient with clinical femoral neck fractures in Radiology Installation of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital and the reason is done using of pelvic AP projection. This study is a qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection is done by collecting documentation, observation, and in-depth interviews with radiographers, radiology specialists, requesting physicians, and patient. The data analysis used is interactive models. The results showed that the examination used in the Radiology Installation of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital were radiographic examination of the pelvic with AP projection. The reason for using a pelvic AP projection is to compare between the fractured femoral neck with a healthy femoral neck seen from its angle, capacity, and symmetry. In addition, it is also to facilitate healthy head femur measurements if there is a plan to replace the femur head with hemiartroplasty. Keywords : Pelvic Radiography, Femoral Neck Fracture, AP Projection1)Student of the Radiodiagnostic and Radiotherapy Engineering Department of Health Ministry Polytechnic of Semarang2)Lecturer in the Department of Radiodiagnostic and Radiotherapy Engineering in Health Ministry Polytechnic of Health Semarang
