      Abstract
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can provide additional information about soft tissue and bone abnormalities especially in genu examination. The parameters used are Slice Thickness, FOV, NEX, TR, TE, Flip Angel. According to La Rocca Vieira et al. 2011 in his journal using 3 mm slice thickness, Tokuda and Matsunaga, 2012 the slice thickness used in the MRI genus of Proton density (PD) is 4 mm and Telogorejo Hospital that I visited 3 mm so that there is a difference in determining the slice thickness used. Therefore, try to make slice thicness as thin as possible. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in anatomic image information and determine which one is more optimal in the slice thickness of the proton density sequence. This type of research is quantitative with an experimental approach. The study used a MRI 1.5 tesla aircraft at the Telogorejo Medical Center Hospital in Semarang using 10 volunteers with variations of slice thickness of 2mm, 3mm, and 4mm. The research respondents used 2 Radiologists. The respondent questionnaire results will be analyzed using the kappa test statistical test. The results showed that there were differences in anatomic image information on Genu MRI with variations slice thickness of 2 mm, 3 mm, and 4 mm. In the variation of 2mm thickness the anatomy that is clearly seen is acl, pcl, tibia, and patella. In the variation of slice thickness of 3 mm the anatomy that is clearly seen is the femur, acl, pcl, tibia, and patella. In variations in the thickness of the 4 mm slices of anatomy that are clearly visible are the femur, pcl, and patella. With significance 0.001 or p value
