STUDY OF WASTE TREATMENT OF GENERAL HOSPITAL WANGAYA DENPASAR CITY 2018
The hospital generates a variety of hazardous wastes that need attention in the processing because it was feared would have a negative impact on the environment around the hospital. The purpose of this study is to descriptive study. This study measures the qulity of influent and effluent and then wastewater effectiveness in terms of the parameters BOD and COD. Samples taken at the inlet pipes and outlet with the frequency of one time in one day with the grab sampling method. Samples examined in Bali Provincial Health Laboratory.results of laboratory test compared with Pergub Bali No 16 Year 2016 about waste water quality standards for business and or activities of health – care facilities. The results showed that on influent levels for the parameters BOD 30,48 mg/l and COD 49,86 mg/l, on effluent levels for the parameters BOD 12,70 mg/l and COD 29,88 mg/l and the effectiveness in reducing waste water BOD parameter of 58,34% and COD parameter of 40,07%. The conclusion of this research that waste water treatment Wangaya Hospital Denpasar City with Biofilter System parameters have been effective in reducing BOD and COD because the effluent quality has been qualified.
