Abstract

VITRATUL ILAHI FACTORS RELATING TO WORK ACCIDENTS ON PRODUCTION WORKER IN PT JAYA SENTRIKON INDONESIA PADANG IN 2019 xi+ 90 pages, 19 tables, 3 diagram, 6 attachments ABSTRACT In the year 2015 there was a case of work accident at PT. Jaya Sentrikon males as many as 3 cases, Year 2016 as many as 8 cases, and in the year 2017 there are cases of work accidents in PT. Jaya Sentrikon Males as many as 10 cases. From the data described the visible increase in work accidents in PT. Male Jaya Sentrikon in the Production Division for the last 3 years. This research used quantitative design with cross sectional appoarch which is done on production section in PT Jaya Sentrikon Indonesia Padang from January- March 2019. The population in the study were 60 workers with a sample of 50 respondents. The data were collected through interview by using questionnaire and observation with checklist list. Univariate and bivariate data analysis using “chi square” statistic test. The result of the study show are 62% of workers has work accident, 48% of workers make unsafe action, 64% of workers had a long work period, 46% of workers said no supervision, a meaningful relationship between unsafe action (p=0,035), word period (p=0,008), supervision (p=0,013) with work accident. 78% of workers were at a young age and there was no significant relationship between age (p = 0.727) and work accidents and 40% of workers in unsafe condition, and no significant relationship between unsafe condition (p = 0.513) with work accident. To reduce the occurrence of accidents the company must be more assertive in the implementation of the regulation prohibited to carry excessive burden, complete sufficiency in term of K3 such as good and worth using APD, doing safety meeting in every morning, and for the workers must comply with applicable regulations Library list : 35 (1970 – 2017) Keywords : unsafe action, unsafe condition, characteristics worker, work accident
