ABSTRACT
Diarrhea is an environment-based disease with a dominant factor, namely clean water facilities and feces disposal sites, these two factors will interact together with human behavior. In the Lubuk Buaya sub-district, there are still families who have the risk of clean water facilities, the quality of latrines that do not meet the requirements, and do not wash their hands with soap, causing diarrhea. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers in the village of Lubuk Buaya, Koto Tangah, Padang.
The design at this research was analytic with a cross sectional study approach, this research was conducted from November 2018 to Juny 2019 in Lubuk Buaya Village, the sample is 95 closest family of toddlers.
Based on the research, it was found that 52,6% of respondents who had diarrhea, 33,7% of toddlers 'homes had moderate risk of clean water facilities, 65,3% of toddlers' houses had good quality toilet facilities, 56,8% of respondents did not wash their hands with soap and the relationship between the condition of clean water facilities and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers with a p-value of 0,028, the relationship of quality of toilet with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers with a p-value of 0,002, the relationship of hand washing with soap with diarrhea in children with p-value 0,001 .
