dc.descriptionIndria Yusga Dwi Putri Relationship Betwenen Pattern of giving breast milk with the incidence of diarrhea Among Baby 7 -24 Month In Kelurahan Lubuk Buaya City Of Padang Year 2019 xii + 52 pages + 4 Tables + 9 Attachment ABSTRACT Diarrhea is a change in bowel habits, indicated by an increase in frequency (defecation more than 3 times in 1 day) marked by changes in stool from solid to liquid. According to the Riskesdas 2018 data, in Indonesia alone the prevalence of diarrhea in all ages is 12.3%. The prevalence of diarrhea in infants aged 0-1 years is 15.9% in the Lubuk Buaya Health Center. In Lubuk Buaya, 12.8% suffer from diarrhea. Risk factors that affect the incidence of diarrhea, one of which is the behavior of mothers who do not give ASI (Mother's Milk) in full at the first life. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of exclusive breastfeeding with the incidence of diarrhea in infants 7-24 months in Lubuk Buaya Village, Padang City in 2019. The reseacrh use analytical survey with cross sectional approach conducted in Januari 2019 in Kelurahan Lubuk Buaya. The population was mother of 6-24 months baby in Kelurahan Lubuk Buaya as many as 339 people with 60 sampel required. Techniques used simpel random sampling. Data is processed and analyzed univariate and bivariate by using computerizatio. The reseacrh results shows as much 66,7% responden didn’t give exclusive breast feeding and amount to the their babies 50% has suffered from diarrhe the last 3 months. There is relationship between exclusive breast feeding with incidence of diarrhea in Kelurahan Lubuk Buaya year 2019 (p-value = 0,014). t can be concluded that the pattern of breastfeeding in infants 7-24 months affects the occurrence of diarrhea and it is recommended that health workers more aggressively promote exclusive breastfeeding by providing counseling to mothers to prevent the occurrence of diarrhea.
