dc.descriptionNoni Humaira The description of Factors Role In the Use of Vasectomy Contraception Methods at Pauh Healtcare Work Area , City of Padang in the year 2019 xiii + 91 Pages, 14 Tables, 3 Pictures, 16 Attachments ABSTRACT Participation of male in family planning in Indonesia is still very low compared to other countries in Asia, which is only 2%. Vasectomy is one of the lowest contraceptive methods for men, which is only 0,2%. The lowest use of vasectomy in the Padang city is in the Pauh Healthcare Work which is 0.16% for male active family panning participants and 0.44% for new male family planning participants. The purpose of this research is to determine the description of factors role in the use of vasectomy contraception methods at Pauh Healthcare Work Area, City of Padang in the year 2019. The research type is descriptive survey. The research was conducted on August 2018 to February 2019 while data collection was held on December 23, 2018 to January 9, 2019. The population was all of men who used a vasectomy contraception method in Pauh Healthcare, sampling technique is the total population with univariate analysis. The results of this research found vasectomy acceptors 84% had vasectomy at > 35 years old, 88% had the number of children ≥ 3 people, 76% already have boys and girls, 56% had the last education level of high school / vocational school, 76% had a good level of knowledge about vasectomy, 100% there’s no role for religion, 68% had high income, 100% carry out vasectomy when wives are 20-35 years old, 60% with risky health conditions for their wives, and 60% with good wife’s support. It can be concluded factor of age, number of the child, sex of the child, education level, knowledge level, economic status, wife’s age, wife’s health condition, and wife’s support that have role in the use of vasectomy contraceptive methods at the Pauh Healthcare , city of padang in 2019. It is expected that health workers will further improve health promotion regarding male contraceptive methods in order to increase male participation in family planning.
