ABSTRACT
Diabetes mellitus is metabolic diseases with a collection of symptoms in a person because of their blood glucose levels above normal values. Patients diruang interne dr. Rasidin Padang food only spent an average of 69.3% so that the intake of food the patient is said to be less. Standardized nutrition care process (PAGT)is one of the methods in nutritional quality of care in the management of diabetes mellitus in the hospital. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of standardized nutritional care (PAGT) on nutrient intake and blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus hospitalized in the Hospital Dr. Rasidin Padang in 2019.
Pre-experimental research design using one-group pretest-posttest with sampling purposive sampling. The study population was all patients with type 2 diabetes were hospitalized in the Hospital Dr. Rasidin Padang. The number of samples given PAGT many as 10 people during the patient was treated. The data obtained were analyzed by t test and Wilcoxon test-dependent.
The results showed an average increase nutrient intake of energy, protein, fat and carbohydrate that is 46.3%, 49.3%, 39.7% and 47.1%. While the average reduction in blood glucose levels and blood glucose during fasting is 75.1 mg / dL and 79.1 mg / dL.
