Data from the Padang City Health Office 2017 shows that the incidence of hypertension is in the top 10 diseases. And in the work area of ​​Nanggalo Health Center hypertension is the number one disease. One alternative treatment for hypertension is the cincau jelly drink (Premna Oblongifolia L Merr). Where cincau contains high flavonoids, alkaloids and bioactive compounds that can act as Angeostensin Receptor Blocers (ARB), diuretics and antioxidants in reducing hypertension. This study aims to determine the effect of cincau jelly drink on systolic and diastolic blood pressure for hypertensive patients. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttes design with a control group. The number of samples was 30 people, divided into 2 treatment groups, namely the intervention group given the cincau jelly drink and the control group as a comparison given the usual gelatin. Samples were taken by purposive random sampling. Univariate data analysis includes the mean, minimum value, maximal value and standard deviation. Bivariate analysis uses a different two mean dependent t and two independent mean t. The results showed that the mean initial blood pressure of the intervention group was 148.33 / 86.47 mmHg and the end of the intervention was 117 / 74.53 mmHg, while the average initial blood pressure of the control group was 149.73 / 86.07 mmHg and the end of the control group was 146.47 / 80.60. The average reduction in blood pressure in the intervention group was 31.33 / 11.93 mmHg and controls were 3.26 / 5.44 mmHg.
