ABSTRACT
Oligohidramnion is a condition in pregnancy characterized by a deficiency of amniotic fluid. The occurrence of oligohidramnion in Indonesia, according to the data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health in 2016, there were around 8% of pregnant women who have too little amniotic fluid. The cause of oligohidramnion is not known certainty, but the possibility of predisposing factors are abnormal membrane physiology, age, parity, socio-economic conditions, anterpartum bleeding, history of abortion, history of premature rupture of membranes, and fetal numbers. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors related to oligohidramnion in RSUP Dr.M. Djamil Padang in 2018.
The type of research is quantitative with a case-control survey research design. The research population, with the case population, is the Medical Record data of all pregnant women with oligohidramnion, while the control population is the Medical Record data of all pregnant women in Dr. RSUP. M. Djamil Padang. Case samples were taken based on the doctor's diagnosis at Dr. RSUP M. Djamil Padang. The control sample collection was done by purposive sampling. The type of data used is secondary data obtained from the Medical Record data at Dr. RSUP M. Djamil Padang. Therefore, the data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate with Chi-square statistical test.
The results of the study of all 548 maternity women found that 13.33% had oligohidramnion. From 146 respondents indicated 23.29% risky age, 18.49% risky parity, 8.22% twin pregnancy, and 19.86% hypertension. There is a relationship between age and the occurrence of oligohidramnion with p-value 0.030 obtained OR 2.593, parity with p-value 0.010 obtained OR 3.558, twin pregnancy with p-value 0.031 obtained OR 0.177, and hypertension with p-value 0.037 obtained OR 2.683.
Based on the discussion, it can be concluded that age, twin pregnancy, parity and hypertension are likely to cause oligohidramnion. Parity is the most high-risk factor in causing oligohidramnion. Researchers advise developing the quality of maternal health services to improve service especially in the event of prevention and treatment of oligohidramnion.
