Factors Relating to the Occurrence of Anemia in Pregnant Women in Anak Air Puskesmas, Padang City, 2019

ABSTRACT
Anemia in pregnant women is one of the causes of problems in pregnancy and childbirth such as disruption of fetal growth in the womb, abortion, congenital defects, premature birth, low birth weight, bleeding, to perinatal death. Data from the Padang City Health Office in 2017 about the incidence of anemia in pregnant women found 1308 cases out of 18365 from 22 health centers in the city of Padang. It was found that the Anak Air Health Center was the highest with 184 cases of anemia. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at Anak Air Health Center in the city of Padang in 2019.
This type of research is descriptive analytic with a cross-sectional design study that has been carried out at the children's water health center in Padang city in December 2018-June 2019. The population of all pregnant women at Anak Air Puskesmas is 87 people. Samples were taken by purposive sampling with a total sample of 47 people. Data collection using a questionnaire. Then the data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate with Chi-square statistical test.
The results showed that 59.6% of respondents had anemia. 55.3% of respondents indicated risky parity, 57.4% of respondents consumed Fe tablets at risk of 63.8% of respondents experiencing eating disorders.
