Factors Associated with Abortion in RSUD dr. Rasidin Padang in 2019

ABSTRACT
The World Health Organization estimates that 4.2 million abortions each year including 750,000 to 1.5 million occur in Indonesia. RSUD dr. Rasidin is a type C hospital in a Padang city with a high number of abortions. In 2015 the number of abortions was based on West Sumatra health profile data of 3,359 cases, and a sharp increase from 2009 of 2,123 people. The purpose of this study was to look at the related factors of the incidence of abortion in RSUD dr. Rasidin Padang in 2019.
The type of this research is Analytical with cross sectional research design which is where measuring the independent variables are age, parity and history of maternal abortion and the dependent variable is the incidence of abortion. The research was conducted at RSUD Dr. Rasidin Padang in September-June and Data collection was conducted on March 25 -7 April 2019. The population was all pregnant women who were treated at the RSUD dr. Rasidin Padang as many as 567 people and a sample of 82 people taken using Systematic Random Sampling techniques. The type of data used is secondary data, using the data collection format. Data was processed computerically and analyzed by univariate and bivariate.
The results showed that 25.6% of respondents experienced abortion, 25.6% had a risky age, 48.8% had a risk of parity 19.5% had a history of abortion. With age values with the incidence of abortion p = 0,000, parity with the incidence of abortion p = 0,016, history of abortion with incidence of abortion p = 0,000.
Concluded that there is a relationship between age and the incidence of abortion, there is a relationship between parity and the incidence of abortion, there is a correlation between the history of abortion and the incidence of abortion. It is recommended to health workers to be able to provide ANC services and counseling to the community, especially to pregnant women.
