Abstract
The high number of cases of neonatal death is caused by asphyxia. The cause of asphyxia in this case is the occurrence of cord loops. In 2017 in Lampung Province from 787 cases of death, there were 110 cases of neonatal deaths caused by umbilical cord windings
The purpose of this case study is to avoid the obstruction of labor and the occurrence of asphyxia in infants. The care given is management of labor with cord loops in Ny.F according to the stages in normal delivery care.
The method used in compiling this report is determining the location and time of implementation, then determining the subject of the report, Ny. F G_1 P_0 A_0 is 23 years old. Data collection through interviews with patients in accordance with the format of midwifery care assessment for mothers with Varney midwifery management approach and documentation in the form of SOAP
The result of the management of labor with a cord loop is that there are 2 coil coils that are not too tight and that loosening of the cord is loosened using the fingers. Babies born with spontaneous crying, active muscle tone, reddish skin tone and babies not experiencing asphyxia. The suggestion that the authors propose that health workers (midwives) can do an examination of third trimester pregnant women regarding complications in labor and encourage pregnant women to have a pregnancy check up on the obstetrician so that they can know whether or not the cord is as early as possible.
