Abstract

Latar Belakang: Salah satu orthosis yang diberikan dalam penanganan cerebral palsy terhadap orthosis yaitu AFO dengan mencegah deformitas kaki dan pergelangan kaki. Peningkatan layanan ortosis di Indonesia sangat dibutuhkan terutama bagi mereka yang memiliki anak dengan cerebral palsyTujuan: Menganalisis pengaruh penyuluhan tentang orthosis terhadap pengetahuan orang tua dengan anak cerebral palsy.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan quasi eksperimental one group pretest posttest design dan uji T-Test. Sampel diambil secara purposive sampling dan didapatkan 30 orang tua. Peneliti memberikan kuesioner yang telah diuji validitasnya kepada responden sebagai pretest dan kemudian memberikan penyuluhan tentang cerebral palsy dan orthosis. Posttest dilakukan 30 hari setelah penyuluhan.Hasil: Sebelum di lakukan edukasi rerata responden tentang pengetahuan orthosis adalah 16,67, sedangkan setelah di lakukan edukasi rata-rata menjadi 20,23 (p<0,05). Kesimpulan: Edukasi menggunakan leaflet dapat meningkatkan pengethauan orang tua tentang cerebral palsy dan orthosis. Orang tua dengan anak cerebral palsy mengerti tentang pengertian dan manfaat dari ortrhosis.(Background: Ankle Foot Orthosis is one of prescribed orthosis in Cerebral Palsy treatment which function to prevent deformity at the ankle and foot. Improvement in orthotics services in Indonesia is very important especially for those who had kids with cerebral palsy. Purpose: This study was aimed to analyze the effect of counseling on orthosis to the increasing of parent knowledge about orthosis.Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental design of one group pretest posttest design and using T-Test for analyzing data. The sample was taken by purposive sampling. There are 30 subjects in this study. Researcher gave questionnaires which had been tested for validity as a pretest and then the subjects received counseling after pretest was done. Posttest was done 35 days after the counseling.Result: The result of average knowledge score of participants was 16,67 before education. It increased significantly to 20.23 after counseling with p value (p <0.05).Conclusion: Counseling with leaflet can increased the knowledge about cerebral palsy and orthosis. The parents with cerebral palsy know about the definition and function from orthosis.)
