      Abstract
Background: Filariasis mass drug administration carried out for 5 consecutive years aims to reduce the prevalence rate of < 1%. Evaluation of treatment needs to be done, one of them with a finger blood survey. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of mass treatment and factors that influence. Methods:The study design was cross-sectional study. Blood sampling performed at night in four selected villages with a number of samples for blood tests as many as 1,209 people. Results:The number of microfilaria positive population of 10 people. The Village with the most number of cases (6 people) with a microfilaria rate of 2.08% is Nibung Putih villages. History of fever, behavior taking medication, age and gender related to the incidence of filariasis. Regency East Tanjung Jabung is endemic filariasis because they found villages with Mf rate > 1%. Conclusions: Implementation of filariasis mass treatment was less effective because they can not derive filariasis endemicity. Recommendation: Implementation of filariasis mass treatment needs to be improved by increasing the participation of local community leaders in order to reach all levels of society, including isolated communities.
