      PERBEDAAN KADAR KOLESTEROL TOTAL SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH MEUGANG HARI RAYA IDUL ADHA

      Abstract
      ABSTRAK Meugang merupakan tradisi budaya yang terdapat pada masyarakat Aceh. Tradisi meugang Idul Adha dilakukan dengan penyembelihan hewan qurban dalam jumlah besar. Konsumsi daging menjadi tinggi dan berlangsung dalam jangka waktu yang lama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kadar kolesterol total sebelum dan sesudah meugang Idul Adha. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada guru di 5 sekolah dasar, yaitu SD Gla Meunasah Baro, SD Rumpet, SD Lamujong, SD Cot Bambu, SD Lamreung dan Loka Litbang Biomedis Aceh. Responden berjumlah 47 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan pemeriksaan kolesterol menggunakan rapid test cholesterol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kadar kolesterol total sebelum dan sesudah meugang Idul Adha. Diperlukan sosialisasi oleh petugas kesehatan mengenai pengendalian kadar kolesterol total menjelang meugang Idul Adha Kata kunci : meugang, kolesterol, budaya ABSTRACT Meugang  is a cultural tradition  in Aceh. Idul Adha’s meugang characterized by slaughtering the qurban’s animals in large numbers. Meat consumption become higher and implemented within long periods of time. This study aimed to figure out the difference of total cholesterol levels before and after Idul Adha’s meugang. The study was done to teachers in five elementary schools, namely SD Gla Meunasah Baro, SD Rumpet, SD Lamujong, SD cot bamboo, SD Lamreung and staff of Loka Penelitian dan Pengembangan Biomedis Aceh. Respondents total 47 people. Data collection was conducted by interviewing respondent and cholesterol test used rapid test cholesterol. The results showed there was no significant difference between total of cholesterol before and after Idul Adha’s meugang. Socialization required by health workers about controlling total of cholesterol towards Idul Adha. Key words : meugang, cholesterol, culture
